JD Seasonings

They are the talk of Instagram, and rightly deserved. JD Seasonings are an independent, family run business, hand crafting blends of seasoning to help create the perfect balanced meal.

JD Seasonings state that they take pride in the high quality ingredients that go into making their seasonings and they believe that their product is so unique to them due to the simplicity of the kits, and recipes that come along with them.

I think the reason why JD Seasonings have been so popular on the Instagram, and Facebook community is that they are so versatile. I learnt about them through Instagram and was so pleased to find that they fitted in with the Slimming World plan, all of the pots are syn free. (No sugar or artificial flavours are added, unlike other brands)

To the blind eye they may just look like a pot with some seasonings in, and the skepticism in us may question ‘What is the point when I have spices at home’?

WELL, I did ask myself that, but, once I used them I realised why they were unique. Yes I have spices and herbs at home, but do I know the spices I need and the quantity I need to make a Cajun blend for example?

If I answered no, that dubiousness in me could still say ‘Well look it up on the internet’. I could look it up and be faced with 100s of results, some have different herbs and spices, some I have in the cupboard, some I don’t. Do I really have time to be messing about finding the right recipe?

That is where JD Seasonings are so special, not only do they have the perfect blend in the pots, the packaging has all the information you need. It tells you exactly what herbs and spices are in the mix and how many it will serve. When you open the packaging up, there is always a suggested recipe, although you can use the blend to create your own.

The seasoning pots are perfect for modern living, they fit in with busy schedules ranging from the hectic family living to the uni student life (ask my sister, she loves them in her uni digs). The handy recipes tell you all the ingredients you will need to make a full, tasty meal. It is easy to meal plan as there are over 20 pots that you can choose from, so it is easy jot down on a weekly meal plan which ones you will use that week.

I thought I would recommend my favourites if you haven’t tried them before and were considering trying them out:

I got these for Christmas. They are amazing. Like you i have a cupboard full of spices and consider myself a good cook. But these are just so easy and taste so good. I guess they are master blenders and their spices aren’t out of date like mine!!
